Learn Biodiversity Through Endangered Teas and Bonsai-Inclusive Art

During the exhibition, CEO Haruka Takagishi of CLASS EARTH Inc., the driving force behind branding endangered traditional teas as “Endangered Teas” for biodiversity education, will host mini-seminars.

Why does drinking traditional tea contribute to preserving ecosystems?
We invite you to ponder ecosystems through tea and art while savoring the delightful and biodiversity-friendly Endangered Teas.

Participants will have the chance to sample the following three types of Endangered Teas:

Ishizuchi Kurocha (Ehime Prefecture, Saijo City)
Kamairi Bancha (Wakayama Prefecture, Kumano)
Batabatacha (Toyama Prefecture, Asahi Town, Hirugami)

Seminar attendance requires a reservation.

Special POP-UP STORE Event: Ishizuchi Kurocha Latte Tasting

Exclusive to this pop-up event, we are offering free tastings of the Ishizuchi Kurocha Latte, a blend of Ishizuchi Kurocha with oat milk and enhanced with brown sugar for added richness.

Ishizuchi Kurocha is one of only four rare post-fermented teas in Japan and features a unique double fermentation process. Its traditional hand-crafted method is said to have been passed down by the monk Kobo Daishi at the foot of Mount Ishizuchi. Experience its distinctive flavor and characteristics at our booth.

Bonsai Art Exhibition

In collaboration with the packaging design for Endangered Teas, we are also hosting a Bonsai Art Exhibition by Kengo Bonsai Gallery.

The theme of this artwork is “bonsai,” a symbol of sustainability and the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. Bonsai, which can thrive for over 1,000 years with daily care, reflects the ideals of preservation and prosperity that align with the mission of Endangered Teas.

The artist, who has faced challenges with schizophrenia, developmental disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities, explores the true meaning of inclusivity. This theme will also be a point of discussion in the seminar.

About Kengo:
Kengo, representing the Kengo Bonsai Gallery, views bonsai as collaborative art between nature and humans—a symbol of sustainability achieved through daily care, even during disasters or wars. Working alongside CLASS EARTH, he aims to promote the beauty of Japanese bonsai to the world through modern art.
From a young age, Kengo expressed his emotions through colors and brushes, influenced by his mother’s love for plants. Bonsai became his passion due to its unique transformation over time, shaped by human intervention. By blending timeless growth with contemporary art, Kengo strives to showcase the essence of bonsai to a global audience.
