Earth Saver Certification Ceremony to Be Held on April 22 – EARTH DAY at Expo 2025
Additionally, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, EARTH DAY, a special Earth Saver Certification Ceremony was held at the Signature Pavilion “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY” during the EARTH DAY in Expo event at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, recognizing new Earth Savers—guardians of the planet.

A mysterious pendant, home to Latair, the Earth fairy, serves as the symbol of an Earth Saver. During the EARTH DAY in Expo event, held on April 22, 2025, at the Signature Pavilion “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY”, the pendant was awarded to Mirei, a student from Tokyo, representing the elementary and middle school participants who presented their SDGs actions.
This pendant is the first toy made from rice resin, a Japanese bio-based material gaining attention for its sustainability.
A large portion of biomass in Japan is imported. This leads to environmental concerns due to long-distance transport.
To reduce this issue, a project in Japan is growing special rice on unused farmland. This helps promote domestic energy sources and supports nature in local fields.
The project is also planning collaborations with various companies.
In today’s world, where listening to the voice of our one and only planet is more important than ever, this initiative will transcend the boundaries between businesses, local governments, and NGOs. Together, they aim to foster future Earth Savers through a Nature Positive educational project focused on restoring biodiversity.

This project also includes plans for collaborations with a wide range of companies.
