Endangered Teas

One of Japan’s proud cultural treasures is Japanese tea. However, today, there are varieties of tea whose producers have dwindled to just a few, and some are on the brink of extinction due to changes in their production environment. Endangered species teach us the importance of understanding why they are at risk, offering an opportunity to change our actions. Through endangered teas, we aim to learn about the social issues in Japanese agriculture and work together to find solutions.

In addition to selling endangered tea leaves, we will be offering lattes made with “Ishizuchi Black Tea,” a rare two-step fermented tea, one of only four post-fermented teas produced in Japan.

S-7　Life Connects! Myakumyaku Creature Quest
EXPO 2025 LIVE EARTH JOURNEY produced by KAWAMORI Shoji

In the collaborative project “Life Connects! Myakumyaku Creature Quest,” three partner companies of the pavilion produced by Shoji Kawamori will each present unique quests related to their business activities through the “Biome” platform. Participation is free for everyone, and by sharing information about the habitats of various living creatures, both adults and children can enjoy contributing to the restoration of biodiversity.
