CLASS EARTH Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) and Vector Vision Inc. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) have produced a new educational animation, “Latair the Earth,” created for children who will shape the planet’s future. The series begins airing on terrestrial television today, September 5, 2025.

This work, themed around biodiversity, is a story-driven series that allows viewers to learn about endangered species and the connections between humans and nature. Ecosystem supervision is provided by WWF Japan (World Wide Fund for Nature Japan), ensuring that even within its fantasy setting, the depiction of wildlife and ecosystems remains accurate and carefully considered.

At the end of each episode, an educational corner is included in which the main character, Kanade, introduces endangered species she encounters, accompanied by photographs and video footage. The quiz segment is produced by the intellectual entertainment group QuizKnock, offering children a fun and engaging way to build accurate knowledge.

Synopsis

A shy boy named Kanade encounters Latair, the Earth fairy who leaps out from a mysterious pendant!
Through Latair’s magic, Kanade transforms into different creatures. Traveling across ecosystems—from the ocean and forests to the savanna—he meets fellow animals, sharing moments of laughter, worries, and discovery while learning important lessons.

When Kanade realizes the dangers threatening these creatures, he begins to think about what he can do.
